Sincerely, Weʼre extremely pleased with the garden and meadow on our third of an acre in Boulder, designed by Mike Woods and implemented by J&S Landscaping. Lovely when first put in, three years later it has grown into an outdoor environment beyond our expectations. Mikeʼs genius is for combining different elements: native trees such as plains cottonwoods, aspens, blue spruce and pines, with a dramatic xeriscape of rocks and boulders, and flowering shrubs and plants that bloom in succession all spring, summer, and fall. A gravel path runs through our contoured back meadow, richly textured with eight varieties of native grasses and yarrow. Our front garden is a mass of color with lavender, day lilies, tiger lilies, columbine, black-eyed susans, and many other flowers. J&S did a masterful job bringing in boulders and planting the trees, shrubs, and flowers, contouring the topsoil, insuring excellent drainage, and installing the irrigation system. We wanted a lush landscape that would complement our home while conserving water and requiring minimum maintenance, one that would be sustainable and a pleasure to our neighbors as well as ourselves. Weʼre glad to have had the opportunity to work with Mike Woods and J&S Landscaping, and will continue to as our landscape thrives and evolves.
