HARLEQUIN GARDENS

If you’re a plant lover and like to see the best and brightest of our Front Range plants then be sure to go and visit Harlequins Garden nursery in north Boulder. It’s off the beaten path so Google their location before you go. This family owned nursery is not full of plastic junk and “I hope it will grow here” plants. This place is full of great and interesting plants but also staffed with extremely knowledgeable and passionate gardeners. You could not ask for more.
Save your time and money with other nurseries and make one trip, you won’t be disappointed.

LEFTHAND VALLEY NURSERY
8266 North 81st Street, Longmont CO 80503 (MAP)
303.772.0200
Lefthand Valley Nursery is another out of the way nursery. This beautiful nursery, just west of Niwot, under the giant cottonwoods, is a good place to walk around and see many varieties of trees. It might make you sell your house and buy a smaller house with a bigger yard so that you can have more of their trees to enjoy for many years. Get with Dian or Mark and have them explain to you some of the best choices. Not open on the weekends, 8-5 on the weekdays. They can plant some of their trees as well. We can plant trees from here as well. http://www.lefthandvalleynursery.com/
COLORADO GARDENER
If you live here and have even a modest interest in gardens and plants then pickup a copy of this very “Local” publication. I’d say to go out and buy it but somehow they give it away for free. Look for it at your local nurseries, garden centers, grocery stores and other cool places. Truly a remarkable publication. They are now also on-line so that you can read old issues and learn from the monumental gardening talents of Colorado plantsmen & plantswomen.
